- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1¾ cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 lemon (zest only)
- 3 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over low heat until melted and it begins to froth.
- Stir in the heavy cream and Cajun seasoning. Add salt if needed.
- Bring to a simmer and cook on low for 5 to 6 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the heat, add the lemon zest.
- Gradually add the cheese, and stir until the parmesan is completely melted and the sauce is smooth. Salt to taste.
- Add pasta to the pan and toss to coat or serve as desired.
Notes
Use freshly grated parmesan for the best flavor and texture. Adjust spices to your taste for a personalized touch.
