Description

Deliciously soft and chewy cookies made with ripe bananas and peanut butter, perfect for family gatherings or a cozy snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Add the peanut butter to the mashed bananas and mix until combined.
  4. Stir in the brown sugar, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt until well blended.
  5. Fold in the oats, ensuring they are evenly incorporated into the mixture.
  6. If desired, gently mix in the chocolate chips for extra sweetness.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are golden at the edges but still soft in the middle.
  9. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For chewy cookies, be careful not to overbake them.
