- 8 oz macaroni
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Add broccoli florets during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in flour and garlic powder and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
- Combine the cheese sauce with the macaroni and broccoli, stirring until well coated.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
