Ingredients
Scale
- 1 loaf French bread (cut in half lengthwise, or Italian loaf)
- 3 cups chicken (cooked and shredded)
- 1/3 cup Buffalo sauce
- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened at room temperature)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 2 green onions (thinly sliced)
- 1/3 cup butter (melted)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (finely minced)
- Ranch Dressing (or blue cheese dressing)
- ¼ cup blue cheese (crumbled, optional)
Instructions
- Carefully slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Place the bread cut side up on a large cookie sheet.
- Stir together the melted butter, garlic, and parsley in a small bowl. Brush the mixture over the cut sides of the bread.
- Turn on the oven’s broiler on low. Broil the bread for 4 minutes, rotating the tray halfway, until just slightly golden brown. Set aside.
- Change the oven temperature setting to 375°F.
- Add the shredded chicken and buffalo sauce to a large bowl. Toss until evenly coated.
- Mix in the cream cheese, half of the cheddar cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, and sliced green onions until well combined.
- Spread half of the chicken mixture on each piece of toasted bread.
- Sprinkle each half with the reserved cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese melts.
- Top with crumbled blue cheese (optional) and green onions. Drizzle with ranch dressing and serve immediately.
Notes
