Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges.
- In a large bowl, combine the corn syrup, granulated sugar, and melted butter.
- Whisk in the eggs until the mixture is smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and salt until well blended.
- Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until set. The pie should jiggle slightly in the center.
- Allow the pie to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
If the crust edges brown too quickly, cover them with foil during baking. To enhance flavor, consider toasting the pecans before adding them.
