- 14 oz firm tofu, drained and pressed
- 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
- Zest and juice of 2 limes
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Cut the tofu into cubes and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the tofu cubes and sauté until golden brown on all sides.
- Whisk together coconut milk, lime zest, lime juice, soy sauce, maple syrup, and cornstarch in a bowl.
- Pour the coconut mixture over the tofu in the skillet.
- Simmer for about 5-7 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
Notes
For sugar restrictions, consider using stevia, monk fruit, or allulose instead of maple syrup.
