Description

A hearty and comforting casserole featuring ground beef, potatoes, and a blend of savory seasonings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased casserole dish.
  5. Add the cooked beef mixture on top of the potatoes.
  6. Pour half of the soup mixture over the beef.
  7. Layer the remaining potatoes and then pour the rest of the soup mixture on top.
  8. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.
  9. Bake for 1 hour or until the potatoes are tender.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños.
  • Can substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
