Ingredients

- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 8 ounces of dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine flour, powdered sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the chilled butter and mix until crumbly. Stir in the egg yolk and form a dough.
- Roll out the dough and press it into a tart pan. Prick the bottom with a fork.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
- Heat the cream in a saucepan until just simmering. Pour it over the chopped dark chocolate in a bowl and let it sit for a few minutes. Stir until smooth and add vanilla.
- Pour the ganache into the cooled tart shell.
- Allow it to set in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes before serving.
