- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in another bowl until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them a few inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a thicker cookie, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Storage: Store in an airtight container for up to one week or freeze for up to three months.
