Description

Delicious, chewy granola bars with a crunchy exterior and gooey center, studded with chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Combine in a large mixing bowl the rolled oats, salt, and any additional toppings like seeds or dried fruit.
  3. Mix together in a small saucepan over low heat the peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the peanut butter mixture over the oat mixture and stir until fully combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, pressing it down evenly.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  8. Let it cool completely before cutting into bars. Enjoy your homemade granola bars!
