Description

A classic American side dish combining tender green beans with creamy mushroom sauce and crispy fried onions, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 can Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 4 cups cooked green beans (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine in a large mixing bowl the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and soy sauce.
  3. Stir in the cooked green beans and half of the crispy fried onions.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  7. Top with the remaining crispy fried onions and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For a richer taste, you can substitute half of the milk with sour cream or heavy cream. Make it ahead of time and freeze to bake before serving.
