Description

A nostalgic and customizable meal wrapped in foil, perfect for camping or busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (like bell peppers, onions, and corn)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine ground meat, diced potatoes, mixed vegetables, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Tear off large pieces of aluminum foil (about 12-14 inches long).
  4. Divide the mixture evenly among the foil pieces and fold them tightly to create packets.
  5. Place the packets on the grill or in the oven and cook for about 25-30 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and the potatoes are tender.
  6. Carefully open the packets (watch for steam) and serve immediately.

Notes

Consider adding different proteins or spices to customize the meal to your liking. Packets can be prepared in advance and stored in the fridge or freezer.
