A vibrant blend of fresh tomatoes, herbs, and spices that creates a burst of flavor, perfect for dipping or as a topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ½ cups chopped tomatoes (or 28-ounce can diced tomatoes)
  • 1/4 small onion
  • 1/3 cup fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 small jalapeno pepper (seeds removed)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Chop the tomatoes and place them over a strainer for 5 minutes to drain excess liquid.
  2. Add the tomatoes and the rest of the ingredients to a blender or food processor.
  3. Pulse until blended to your desired consistency.
  4. Transfer to a jar and store in the refrigerator for up to one week. Enjoy!

Notes

You can customize the salsa by adjusting the spice levels or adding additional ingredients like corn or avocado.
