Description

A refreshing and vibrant dessert that combines flaky phyllo layers with creamy lemon pastry cream and tangy lemon curd, creating an unforgettable taste experience.

Ingredients

  • Athens Phyllo Dough Pastry Sheets
  • Lemon pastry cream
  • Lemon curd
  • Fresh whipped cream
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Lemon zest (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the phyllo dough package instructions. Layer several sheets of phyllo dough on a baking sheet, brushing each layer with melted butter.
  2. Bake until golden and crisp. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  3. Prepare the lemon pastry cream by whisking together lemon juice, sugar, yolks, and cornstarch in a saucepan. Cook until thickened, then let it cool.
  4. Assemble the pastry by layering baked phyllo sheets with lemon pastry cream, lemon curd, and fresh whipped cream.
  5. Continue layering until you reach the desired height.
  6. Dust the top with powdered sugar and garnish with lemon zest before serving.

Notes

For sugar substitutes, consider stevia or monk fruit. Always cover unused phyllo dough with a damp cloth to prevent it from drying out. Chill your lemon pastry cream for best texture.
