Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 4 egg yolks


Instructions

  1. Blend in a blender, combine the peaches, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Heat in a saucepan, the cream, milk, and salt over medium heat until warm.
  3. Whisk in a separate bowl, the egg yolks.
  4. Slowly add the warm cream mixture to the egg yolks while whisking continuously.
  5. Pour the egg yolk mixture back into the saucepan and cook until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the peach puree.
  7. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for a few hours.
  8. Churn in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
