Description

A delicious and hearty casserole combining pierogi and kielbasa, perfect for a spring dinner.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of frozen pierogi
  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
  3. Add the sliced kielbasa to the skillet and cook until browned.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream.
  5. In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the frozen pierogi, followed by the kielbasa mixture, and half of the cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining pierogi, kielbasa, and cheese.
  7. Pour the soup mixture over the top and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
