Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes.
- Drain excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and diced tomatoes. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Unroll the crescent rolls and lay them in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, pressing the seams together to form a solid base.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly over the crescent roll base.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef mixture.
- Fold the edges of the crescent rolls over the filling, creating a rustic top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with black beans or soy crumbles.
