Description

A delightful Argentine appetizer featuring melted provolone cheese with chimichurri.

Ingredients

  • Provolone cheese
  • Crushed red pepper flakes
  • Garlic
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley, oregano)
  • Olive oil
  • Vinegar
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Slice the provolone cheese into thick pieces and place them in the skillet.
  3. Cook until golden brown on one side, then flip and cook the other side until melted and bubbly.
  4. Prepare the chimichurri by mixing minced garlic, chopped fresh herbs, olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a bowl while the cheese is cooking.
  5. Sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes once the cheese is done and serve immediately with chimichurri on the side.

Notes

Serve hot for the best gooey texture. Pair with chimichurri for an extra flavor boost.
