Ingredients
Scale

- 1 cup marinated roasted red peppers (including 1-2 tbsp marinating liquid)
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed/minced
- Salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp dried basil

- Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Add fresh crushed garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Mix in the puréed peppers and season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally, about 2 minutes.
- Stir in the dried basil and cream, then cook the sauce for 6-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Transfer cooked and drained al dente pasta into the sauce and allow to finish cooking in the sauce for best results. Add reserved pasta water as needed, and finish with plenty of grated Parmesan cheese!
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and allow the sauce to simmer gently for a richer taste.
