Description

A classic Italian-American dish featuring pasta baked with marinara sauce and cheese.


Ingredients

  • 12 ounces ziti pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions; drain.
  3. Mix the cooked pasta with marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, and spices in a large bowl.
  4. Layer half of the pasta mixture in a baking dish, followed by half of the mozzarella cheese.
  5. Add the remaining pasta mixture and top with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
