Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 onion, finely chopped

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Combine in a bowl ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

- Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer. If desired, stir in cornstarch to thicken.
- Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve warm with the mushroom gravy.
Notes
Allow the gravy to simmer for better flavor depth and avoid over-mixing the patties for tenderness.
