Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 2 tbsp butter


Instructions

  1. Mix sourdough starter, water, and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Gradually add flour, salt, and cinnamon until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Incorporate the raisins into the dough.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 60 minutes.
  6. Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Cover and let it rise again for about 45 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Prepare cinnamon butter by mixing butter with sugar and cinnamon. Spread on warm bread.
