- 4 cups of water
- 1 cup of fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup of milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/2 cup of sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Cinnamon (optional, for garnish)
- Ice (for serving)
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in 4 cups of water for 2-4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Drain the rice and add it to a blender with the fresh strawberries, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until well combined and smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher, pressing down to extract as much liquid as possible.
- Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
