- 1/2 cup mascarpone (softened)
- 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup coffee
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 6 slices thick-cut white bread
Instructions
- Whisk together the heavy cream, granulated sugar, and mascarpone in a medium bowl until smooth.
- Add the coffee liqueur, milk, eggs, and 1/4 cup of coffee. Whisk until fully combined.
- Stir in the cocoa powder and vanilla extract until well mixed.
- Dip each slice of thick-cut white bread into the mixture, ensuring it’s well soaked but not falling apart.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Place the soaked bread in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Melt the remaining butter in the skillet and repeat with the remaining slices of bread.
- Serve warm, dusted with cocoa powder and a sprinkle of sugar, drizzling with extra coffee if desired.
