- 2 cups sourdough starter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Combine in a large bowl the sourdough starter, sugar, milk, and melted butter. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour, salt, and cinnamon, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Once risen, pinch off small pieces of dough and roll them in brown sugar. Layer them in a greased bundt pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before inverting onto a plate and pulling apart.
Notes
For diabetic considerations, use sugar substitutes like Stevia or Monk Fruit. Avoid honey or maple syrup.
